A little more clarity. A calmer start.

How we work

Guidance you can
check for yourself.

Sources come first

For medical topics, safety and practical arrangements, we start with the responsible organisation in the Netherlands. These include RIVM, PNS, Rijksoverheid, SVB, Dienst Toeslagen, KNOV, Thuisarts.nl, VeiligheidNL and Voedingscentrum. A commercial baby essentials list can help us identify topics, but it does not determine medical advice.

We state what is a legal requirement, what is offered and what is a personal choice or an arrangement with a healthcare professional. If sources differ, we explain the context. We do not choose a claim simply because it sells more products.

Text that reads like a conversation

We write in clear language. Every sentence should help you understand or do something. We avoid sales slogans, unnecessary repetition and long digressions. We do not use dashes as a stylistic device. Required spelling and official names remain intact.

For new text and changes, we check both the content and the language. Automated checks flag possible errors. They do not replace reading the text.

How we compare products

We compare use, relevant safety requirements, dimensions, maintenance, service life and price range. The criteria appear in each buying guide. A small home, a car or travel by public transport each create different requirements. We provide options and factual differences so you can decide what suits you.

Basis means standard features, Midden means additional features and Extra means a more extensive version. The labels say nothing about quality or safety. For products with different uses, we state the purpose. You decide which features you need.

Our current comparisons are based on source research, not our own laboratory or practical tests. We do not invent user experiences, star ratings, quality marks or test results. Product information and shop availability can change. Check the exact model before buying.

Keeping content up to date

Every guide has a review date. We plan to review medical information, government rules and buying guides at least once every quarter. A relevant change or reported error may prompt an earlier review.

A review date changes only when the content has been checked again. We add new amounts or rules only after the competent authority has published them. We do not provide individual allowance calculations.

If information is incorrect

We compare reported information with the source. If there is a factual error, we amend the relevant text. If medical information is uncertain, we refer to the healthcare professional or responsible organisation.

Your choice

Privacy preferences

You choose separately for statistics and Meta. Your checklist works without consent too.

Statistics

You choose whether we may count your visit and search terms reviewed in advance. This choice applies across SlimOverzicht. Your checklist also works if you say no. We do not receive any ticks or personal information from your checklist.

Visit measurement and search term counting are off.

Meta advertising measurement

With your consent, we share page views and shop-link clicks with Meta through Meta Pixel and the Conversions API. On a guide article, the Conversions API uses only the general guides path, not the specific article path. Meta Pixel does not load on the guide or on the page you visit directly afterwards. We do not send checklist answers, search terms or form content.

Meta advertising measurement is off.
