Your data
A checklist.
No personal record.
Last updated: 23 September 2026.
The publisher is SlimOverzicht. If you have questions about your data, email [email protected].
What stays in your browser (and is not shared with us)
We store the numbers of your completed items, your chosen light or dark theme and your accent colour in your browser’s local storage. This means your list is still there when you return. We do not need your name, due date or medical data.
The contents of your checklist are not sent to our server. Other people who use the same browser or device can see your saved list. You can clear the ticks with ‘Start again’. Clear the site data in your browser to remove your theme preference as well.
We also keep three small settings for this website: your chosen language (so:language:v1), how far you are with the first introduction (so:onboarding:v1) and that you closed the privacy notice (so:privacy-prompt:v1). Your language and the introduction stay saved until you clear the site data in your browser. A closed privacy notice stays away for thirty days. After that we ask for your choice again. Closing it is not consent. These settings are not sent to us or anyone else.
Private windows and some browser settings do not retain data. You can still use and print the checklist, but your progress may disappear when you close the window.
Visitor statistics and cookies
If you consent, we measure page views, active time on a page, how far you scroll and clicks to our pages and shops. For buying advice, we may also measure when you open extra information and briefly hover over a shop link. We distinguish between mobile, tablet and desktop devices.
For this purpose, we store a random browser code for no more than thirty days. A session code stays in your tab. These codes do not contain a name or email address. On the server, they are converted into protected codes. We store your choice for thirty days. You can change it at any time through Privacy preferences at the bottom of the page. When you turn measurement off, it stops and the measurement codes disappear from your browser.
When measuring visits, we do not store ticks, search terms, form contents, full referring addresses or personal dates. With the same consent, we count search terms reviewed in advance separately, as explained below. Medical guides are counted as one group. We do not create personal records of your care choices. Your IP address is used temporarily to limit misuse of the measurement service. We do not store it in the measurement database.
The following applies to our visitor statistics: The data is stored with TransIP outside the public website. We retrieve aggregated reports only through our secure administration access. Raw measurement data is deleted after ninety days during the next processing or report refresh. Reports contain counts, not browser codes. A shop click does not tell us whether you bought anything.
You can decline without affecting your checklist. We also respect your browser’s Do Not Track setting. Fonts and images come from this website.
Meta advertising measurement
Only with your separate consent do we use Meta Pixel and Conversions API on SlimOverzicht’s public pages. We share page views (PageView) and clicks on shop links (OutboundClick) for advertising measurement and optimization. A click does not prove a purchase.
The Conversions API records a PageView for every public route. On a guide article, it sends only the general guides path, not the specific article path. Meta Pixel does not load on a guide article or on the page you visit directly afterwards. The referring page is not sent through the Conversions API. Clicks on shop links from guide articles are not sent. Meta also receives the public page path, the time, an event code to prevent duplicate counts, your IP address and technical browser data. Existing Meta browser IDs (_fbp and _fbc) may be included. Your browser and our server may send the same event. Meta Pixel may extend the _fbp cookie’s lifetime to ninety days. Your consent remains valid for thirty days. We delete _fbp and _fbc when you withdraw consent or as soon as we detect expired consent.
We do not send checklist answers, your chosen stage, budget, search terms, form content, email address or customer information to Meta. Automatic event detection and advanced matching are disabled. Meta Pixel is an external script that runs within your page.
Your Meta choice is separate from visitor statistics and remains valid for thirty days. Declining does not affect your checklist. You can withdraw consent through Privacy preferences at the bottom of every page. We then stop new transmissions and remove Meta cookies on this website. This cannot retrieve data already sent.
The recipient is Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. Meta may process data outside the European Economic Area. Meta’s retention periods and terms are set out in its privacy policy and Meta Business Tools terms.
Meta may also use event data for its own purposes, including personalized advertising, research, safety and product improvement. Under the Meta Business Tools terms, Meta retains event data for up to two years.
SlimOverzicht and Meta are joint controllers for collection and transmission for advertising targeting and personalization. Meta then processes the data under its own responsibility. More information is available in Meta’s Controller Addendum.
SlimOverzicht explains which data is collected and shared. Meta is responsible for your rights regarding data it stores after receiving it. You can contact Meta directly through its privacy policy, or contact us. We forward your request to Meta within seven days.
According to its privacy policy, Meta uses adequacy decisions for transfers from the European Economic Area, including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for services covered by Meta Platforms Inc’s certification. In other situations, Meta uses European standard contractual clauses or applicable legal derogations.
Search terms and missing topics
Your choice in the cookie banner applies to visit statistics and the counting of search terms reviewed in advance across SlimOverzicht. This shows us which topics people search for, even when a search returns no results.
We count only searches containing words from a pre-reviewed list of general topics. We skip any search with an unknown word, a number, contact details or personal or sensitive text. This check takes place on your device and again on the server. Do not type names, addresses or medical data into the search field.
We store the recognised search term, the search location, the day and how often a text match was or was not found. We do not link this to a browser code, your ticks, chosen stage or budget. To count the results, we look only at public content. Your personal filters are not included.
Daily totals are stored for no more than 365 days in a separate database with TransIP, outside the public website. Older totals are deleted during the next processing or report refresh. We use this data only internally to improve our coverage. The search terms and reports are not public.
Your choice stays on your device for thirty days. You can change it through Privacy preferences at the bottom of the page. Turning it off stops visit measurement and new search term counts. Previous daily totals remain until they expire; we cannot link them to you. We respect your browser’s Do Not Track setting. Search also works without consent.
Technical data during a visit
A web server needs your IP address and the requested page to deliver the website. A hosting provider or traffic service may also process technical data for security and availability. These are not answers from your checklist.
This website is hosted by TransIP in the Netherlands. TransIP processes technical log data to investigate outages and secure the service. According to the TransIP privacy statement, data is kept no longer than necessary for the stated purpose. We also use available access logs to distinguish page request counts from likely bots. Our reports do not include IP addresses, full visited addresses or browser identification strings. A bot can disguise itself. These counts therefore do not prove how many real people visit our website.
Security through Cloudflare
We use Cloudflare to secure the website and make it load faster. Your connection therefore runs through Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes data including your IP address, the requested page and technical browser data. This is needed to route traffic and identify attacks. This processing also takes place if you refuse visitor measurement.
In our protected Cloudflare account, we view traffic figures and security alerts. Cloudflare may process data outside the European Economic Area. You can read more about processing and protection in the Cloudflare privacy statement. Cloudflare may use necessary cookies for security checks. We do not add an extra Cloudflare script to measure your behaviour. Your ticks stay on your device.
If you email us
We use your email address and message to handle your question or correction. Your message arrives in our TransIP mailbox. We retain the correspondence for as long as needed to answer your question or honour an agreement. Do not send medical records or other sensitive information.
If you visit a shop
Clicking a shop link opens that shop’s website. Its privacy statement and cookie choices apply there. We do not send your checklist progress. We may receive a payment if you buy something through a shop link. This does not change our selection criteria. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Your privacy rights
You can delete the local data yourself in your browser. If we process your personal data, you can ask the publisher for access, correction or deletion and, where applicable, object or withdraw consent. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
