Important information when buying a baby car seat

Differences between seats and bases

The CabrioFix i-Size has a smaller height range and weighs less than the other two seats. For the Cloud T, the rotation function is part of the Base T or Base Z2. For the Pebble 360 Pro², rotation and sliding are provided by the FamilyFix 360 Pro. None of the three offers shown includes a base.

Legal requirements and position in the car

In the Netherlands, children under 1.35 metres must travel in an approved child car seat. Always follow the installation instructions for both the seat and car.

If you place a baby rear-facing on the front passenger seat, the front airbag must be switched off. Follow the seat and vehicle manuals for suitable seating positions.

Check the fit

Ask a knowledgeable retailer to demonstrate the seat in your car, then install it yourself. Check that the belt runs freely, the base is stable and all indicators show correct installation.

Best baby car seats: which suits you?

There is no single best baby car seat for everyone. First check that the seat fits your baby's height and weight and your car. If you often carry the seat, compare its weight. If you want to fasten your baby in from the door side, consider rotation or sliding with a compatible base. Include the separately purchased base in your budget. Then choose the features you want to use.
